Thurnham Hall is a 12th century country house that stands proudly in a stunning estate of nearly 30 acres in the area of Lancaster. Boasting an elegant Jacobean Great Hall, the resort combines the very best of old and new. All accommodation, whether in the main house which retains a more traditional flavour, or in the courtyard buildings with their modern finishes, are all furnished to exquisitely high standards. Thurnham Hall's leisure center has a large swimming pool and extensive state of the art exercise equipment, while the restaurant serves both fine and casual dining. Exit the M6 at Junction 33 (Lancaster). Follow the signs for A+ (GarstangCockerham). After approx 1 mile take along the crossroads (signposted Cockerham), where there is a large beige house. Continue along the country lane for approx 1.5 miles. Turn right at a T-junction at the end of the lane. Carry on to the T-junction and turn right at the Manor Inn public house. Continue for approx 1.5 miles until you see a row of 5 terraced cottages on a sharp right and left hand bend. Begin to indicate right at this point and turn right onto our driveway, just before the red brick house.Alternate Directions:There is a direct rail network to Lancaster City Centre. From Lancaster train station you can either take the bus directly to Thurnham Hall Gates or a taxi. The journey from Lancaster is approx 4 miles.Driving:Please take extra care navigating the roads around the resort as they are quite narrow and winding.
